Meet the Author
C. D Baron
Hello friends, I am C. D. Baron. I grew up with autism in a small town in California. Unaware of my condition I had trouble fitting in and making friends with my peers. I spent many days out in the field escaping to different fantasy worlds. Whether I was exploring the Lost Mines of Moria, the inter-galactic turmoil of a falling republic, or slinging spells with my wand, I turned to fantasy as an escape. A place where I could be me without judgement. As I grew older, my love for fantasy grew and I started to write my own worlds and stories. Most of which would never see the light of day.
I picked up many interests and hobbies along the way, ranging from playing a number of instruments, participating in various sports, and sinking hours into the latest RPG to release. Once, I left for college, where I met my beautiful wife, I had no idea what I wanted to do for a living. I changed from a music major to film, and eventually picked up a masters in creative writing. Story-telling was always at the center of what I wanted to do.
With the support of my wife and daughter, I continued to pursue my writing and eventually started a blog on writing. But, what I truly wanted to do was tell my story of Symphonia. The story of Elvines whom became lost to the world, a symbol of my masking autism. A story of love and compassion as the driving force behind a community, represented by exploration on the teachings of Buddhism and how they helped me through my life. Every story has a piece of me, whether its the shy and timid protagonists of my soon to be debut novel, or the warriors facing their inner demons to reach their truest potential.
I hope all of my stories can resonate with everyone who reads them in some way that adds a little more light to their life.
